Who is the A.B.A.?

The Armada Business Association was formed by local business owners many years ago as a non-profit corporation. It is a group dedicated to promoting shared business interests while trying to maintain and preserve the small town business atmosphere. The ABA is membership based and open to any business (DBA, Corporation, LLC, S-Corp or Sales Tax ID) within Armada Township or within Armada area school boundaries, whichever is greater.

The ABA's initial purpose was reactive to recognizing that there is a distinct advantage of addressing issues of mutual importance as an organized and unified group. The ABA keeps informed of events or happenings at the Village and Township government levels to continually monitor the impact any issues may have on the business community. Meetings are also open to business owners addressing any concerns they have that the group as a whole may be able to help reconcile. in communicating these issues to members at monthly meetings, we help keep each other aware, viable and possibly taking appropriate action on the directive of the organization.

The Armada Business Association sponsors four functions each year for the community. This gives members an opportunity to show their business interest in giving back to the community. We hold an annual Easter egg hunt at the Armada Fair Grounds, a promotional gathering during the summer in the Village Park coinciding with the Village's "Music in the Park", we sponsor a Homecoming Window Decorating Contest with the Armada High School each year and lastly, we hold a Christmas Home Decorating Contest in December.

At some point during the year, the ABA holds a "Meet and Greet" giving all businesses, current member or not, an opportunity to meet each other, see what each business is about, understand their contributions to the community and gather information as to what the Armada Business Association is all about.

ABA meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Lions Hall in downtown Armada. We look forward with great anticipation to your business joining us!
